Videos

My friend Mickey made a couple short videos of our antics during his visit here a couple weeks ago. One about climbing in Indian Creek, the other about a White Rim mountain bike patrol.

They're both about 5 minutes long.

Check them out at http://www.vimeo.com/user1419166

River Ranger

Angela patrolled the Green River last week - about 60 miles by canoe in 4 days, with lots of work in between (checking campsites, picking up trash, monitoring archeological sites, hiking trails, checking permits, etc... )
Right now the weather is great, but unfortunately last week was windy and even snowy for her trip.

Car, Nose, Stone

Car. First off, we're looking for a new car. The Jeep is up to 283,000 miles now, and we're worried that there might not be much left. What a car though, it has taken me through college, through our first year and a half of marriage, through many, many road trips, and even to the Artic Circle and back. It would be hard to let it go, but we might have to so we have something more reliable. What memories with the Jeep though. Man. Got it for $200 bucks four and half years ago, and its been great so far! What a car!

Nose. This is it. I'm going for it. Dates are set. I'm going to climb the Nose of El Capitan in Yosemite. 31 pitches. 3,000 feet. Four days. The most famous rock climb in the world. May 14-24th whenever the weather window looks good. Its going to be extremely challening; mentally, physically, technically.

Stone. We've been to Indian Creek on both of the past Mondays. I led my first 5.11+ down there - Coyne Crack. Burly. Angela is getting really good. She climbs 5.10 like its nothing now. I'm trying to work my body really hard in preparation for Yosemite.

Car, Nose, Stone. Thats the happenings for now.

Double Jobage

Angela got the perfect job for her at Rocky Mountain - backcountry ranger! We just found out a few days ago.

She'll be out hiking the trails, helping on rescues, and climbing the mountains all summer.

She's great.
