It's been awhile ol' blog.
But it's Sunday. And I'm incredibly tired of the computer but I like keeping a running real-life chronicle of my life... and the life of my little family. I don't journal, so like it or not, this is it. And it's the real-deal-stream-of-consciencness-good-and-bad kind of writing.
So let's start with my darlin's:
Liesel: is now is school. No, seriously. She is a student. She loves art class and gives me a play-by-play of the entire class. Including who said what and what the teacher's instructions were. Her least favorite thing is computer lab. This doesn't surprise me-- she had the lowest marks in technology out of all of the subjects in her pre-kindergarten evaluation. I'm sure this will change quickly. Her teacher voted her student of the month and had some very kind things to say about her which included, "Liesel is a hard worker. .. she frequently can be seen explaining instructions to other students who did not understand the task..." etc. I was proud of her, but dad was even prouder. I miss having her home and I really notice the difference without her. She is a great girl with a good heart. Her imagination is off the charts and she is always making up stories or playing pretend games.
Hannah: this child is a mini adult. I swear. She takes care of herself and is sometimes so practical about life that I forget she's only a few weeks shy of 4-years-old. She has been extra sensitive lately at the injustice of being child #2. She points out almost every day something that Liesel gets to do that she doesn't and it is usually followed by a stream of genuine tears from her wounded little soul. Tonight the injustice was not receiving an invite to Owen's b-day party. With all of her independence she is my only child who has mommy leaving anxiety. I've had to get a lot of sitters lately with Brian being gone and needing to go to photoshoots. She still would cry when I leave so it was great to have my mom here. It's the first time Hannah has said, "Bye mom! Have a good photo shoot!" She still says hilarious things all the time. The other night she prayed to "not call Sam my future husband anymore" (she was doing that for some reason) and then another family prayer she said, "please bless us to get husbands when we get older" or something like that. She is my little partner in whatever I'm doing throughout the day with Liesel gone. She especially loves to cook with me, play legos and read books.
Felicity: is learning about a word a day. She loves to collect rocks. She learned the power of the word "NO!" lately and uses it often-- like with every single question. She is quite possessive over toys and food which I'm sure is a result from her sisters always snatching her stuff. She is quick to laugh and good natured. The other day when we were hiking Park Avenue Felicity insisted on hiking the entire way back up the steps and would not get in the backpack. It was raining and she was stopping to collect rocks the entire way, trying to
